• He didn't take the news as badly as I did. Although I can't say he took it well either. He was only two years old when our mother supposedly died. I'm not entirely sure how he even remembered any of the funeral or burial being so young but he insists that he did. I feel like I took it so hard not only because of the betrayal of Helena but also for the realization that I could have had a completely different life. I could have been included in the family and possibly even treated like a human rather than how my father chose to treat me. Now all I can do is wonder if my mother ever expected her mate to turn on me the way he did. If she knew beforehand how he would become, would that have changed the outcome of what she chose to do? Or would she still have decided to leave to keep me out of the clutches of Iblis? So many questions, but only one person could answer them, yet I have no way of talking to her. Not unless I go to the Underground and pray to the goddess Iblis is feeling some type of way. But in reality, why would he? That's risking one of his most powerful assassins with coming to the reality that her sacrifice was now meaningless and not only am I in danger but the grandson she doesn't even know she has is in even more danger. He wouldn't risk her finding out who I really am. It wouldn't only put his business in jeopardy but also any of his plans to use them against us.
• I could reach out to Lucy and try to get her to get a message across. But even then, I don't know if I can trust her either. Her motives are unclear. I wasn't even sure if she knew who she was working for. But she was the only one that could do it. Maybe my best friend was still there somewhere? All I could do was try, right?
