Chapter 159 The Dead Attack

• We decided to part ways in hopes of dividing and concurring. While Marci, Talissa, and I went to war. Tegan and Trystan went to find the sister witches to get the gate shut. I wasn't sure what uniting all three blades would do. Hell, I wasn't even sure how to use them correctly. I asked Trystan what I was supposed to do and his response was 'You'll know when the time is right, all you have to do is listen.' Whatever that meant. As a leader, I knew I would figure it out and find solutions. My blade felt as if it were vibrating in my hand. I hadn't had the thing for long, but that was a first. The closer we were getting to the forest, the more it was vibrating. As if it were calling someone, or maybe even something. Was that a sign? I wasn't confident that it was, not yet at least.
• Once we were at the edge of the tree line, you could see the outer layer of demons with their beet-black eyes staring back out at us. If that weren't creepy, then I wasn't sure what was.
