Chapter 206 A Proposition

  • SHANTI'S P.O.V
  • My blood was beyond its boiling point. How dare Elias bring me as his date to the mating ball? To werewolves, that action was a way of showing that I was his girl. Instead of flaunting me, he chose to disrespect me in front of everyone attending. His actions were primal and dominating. Those who were in attendance saw that behavior. The way he looked at her should've been how he looked at me. Only, it wasn't. How was I supposed to be his forever when she stood in the way? I wanted nothing more than to rip his hands from her body, but I couldn't. If I did that, it would draw attention to the jealousy I was consumed with and I needed to keep up my image. Especially since she could never be the Luna of a Kingdom as a human. I suppose he could change her, only that was against our rules. The only way that a werewolf could change a human was if they were their fated mates and fated mates alone. Clearly, Zola was not his mate or this would be a totally different ballgame. However, she was still a problem for me. A problem I intended on handling.
  • After ending my phone call, I re-entered the ballroom. Except Elias nor Zola were anywhere in sight so I decided to walk over to Tyla, my best friend. When my presence was known she turned to look at me, her eyes nearly bulging from her eye socket.
