Chapter 3 The Before

  • Crescent
  • She was cold, and the floor was wet. Where was she? It wasn’t her room in the old lady's house in which she was staying. It felt more like a dungeon. Crescent finally opened her eyes and looked around the space in which she was trapped.
  • It was indeed a dungeon or dungeon-like. It looked more like a torture chamber for those who have done capital punishment. Who had she angered to get kidnapped and potentially tortured by? There wasn’t anyone she could think of since even the most horrible of people she was able to find common interest in and make peace with them. There was, however, a name she could eliminate with Iscariot’s since he was her friend, and he wouldn’t hurt her. Crescent was confident that she could get out of this situation just like the other times.
  • She heard a door open and waited for the person to enter only to see Iscariot come through it. he was most likely here to save her from her kidnapper.
  • “Iscariot you’re here to save me,” she said happily with a desperate smile, but he didn’t respond and only glared at her. This was coldness she didn’t know that he had. “Iscariot?” she said a bit scared this time. Something was off and she didn’t like it.
  • “I’m not here to save you Crescent” he snarled at her with ferocious anger she had never seen with Iscariot before.
  • “Iscariot please don’t joke with me… if I did something wrong, we could fix it” she pleaded a bit softly. Who was this man? It certainly wasn’t the kind but grumpy Iscariot she knew.
  • She watched carefully as he approached her and suddenly ripped the front part of her dress in half, “Iscariot what are you doing?!” she said truly scared now.
  • He simply started groping her lush soft boobs and was toying with her nipples. “Please stop! I-I don’t know what I did, but let’s talk this out.” She implored him while she tried to resist him but was useless as her hands were chained to the wall, and Iscariot had immobilized her legs.
  • “I’ve been waiting to do this for an exceedingly long time… you don’t deserve the love that you are given by the people around you. Instead, you should be used and beaten for stepping out of line like the little shit you are” he had snarled to her, roughly bruising her delicate assets, and she cried out in pain as he twisted them, and that only seemed to fuel him even more.
  • The hours, days, or weeks seemed to slowly pass by as each day Crescent would painfully wait for the day of torture Iscariot would inflict on her for something she had never done. She had lost count of the number of times Iscariot had raped and violated her body until she bled. Crescent’s once soft smooth skin was now littered with scars on her back ranging from small ones to large ones that covered half of it.
  • She was useless… what was the use of living anymore… it most certainly wasn’t to be with the family who had betrayed her. Was her family even her family in the first place? or had they been using her like Iscariot had? She most likely wouldn’t even live to know since she felt her life slipping away slowly each day, and Crescent was about to hit her breaking point.
  • The number of times she had felt sad or cried had increased so much that there was no point in keeping track of all the dreadful things Iscariot had done to make her cry. Her back and everything hurt. The pain was all she ever felt anymore.
  • Crescent thought back to that vision she had of her fated mate so many years ago. It was the only thing that kept her somewhat going. It was honestly the only thing she ever thought of besides the torture that she went through almost every single day. The first and only time she had received it she was filled with happiness she didn’t even know she had, and the sight she had seen made her hope for more.
  • Birds chirped softly as a future Crescent sat in a warmly lit room on a sage green plush couch wearing a flowing knee-length blue dress with pink carnation flowers dappled all over and sleeves that hung off of her shoulders, and her stomach was swollen with a child, and she looked happy.
  • “Asc---- I missed you Lura rueo.” She spoke with softness for the towering male with curly ginger hair and gentle green eyes who had entered the room with some unfamiliar snacks in his hands.
  • The man only smiled with great love for Crescent and sat next to her while setting down the items in his hands on a coffee table in front of them. He then buried his head into her shoulder and pulled Crescent into his embrace while whispering sweet nothings into her ear.
  • She laughed lightly with a bright smile on her face, “They’ll be here any day now Lura rueo, and when they do, I expect all your attention.”, she said softly with a hint of seriousness towards the handsome man, but the man only response was taking in a deep breath, and placing his hand over Crescents stomach, and rubbing it softly.
  • “You’ll have so much attention from me you’ll be for me to leave” he had said smugly to her, with s cheeky smile on his face.
  • Crescent simply rolled her eyes and sighed sassily at the man.
  • The cell door creaked open, and she knew instantly who it was and simply prepared herself for the onslaught of torture to come yet again.
  • “It’s your lucky day Crescent. I just so happened to be bored with you, and I’ll be letting you free.” Iscariot said to her with a sneer in his voice while she watched him approach her broken body, “I’m soooo sad that this had to be this way, but you just were asking for it” he taunted with a cackle while unlocking the shackles that held her down, but it wasn’t for long when he stabbed something into her neck, and everything went black.
