• He also appreciated that she had made the comb to be able to groom. He liked how resourceful she was and how determined Aessent was when finding solutions to problems. He wanted the woman so badly, but he didn’t want their relationship to be first starting off with pain. He wanted her to crave him without him using her body or the mate bond. Just the thought of her yelling out his name turned him on more, but he needed to get rid of the thoughts for now.
• He suddenly stood up and picked Aessent up bridal style in his arms, and headed towards the lake so that they could swim together again. Once they got significantly into the water he lightly let go and she splashed in. Once he saw her come up for air he laughed, and she only made a pouting face and tackled him into the water as well. The two of them lightly wrestled in the water until he heard Castor calling out for him. This was most definitely not the best time for him to come looking for Ascelin. It didn’t help that Vega was fulling his anger, and that an unmated male was near his mate.
