Chapter 40

• The days passed by and every day, Lilian got stronger and healthier. She was almost back to her normal self. Dr. Rockwell came by and checked her and confirmed her ready to go back to eating normally but asked her to go easy on herself. He was also very impressed by Gwen's first aid skills and congratulated her on her admission into her registered nursing program. Soon the time for Gwen to leave drew near. Lilian was quite disheartened. Now she would have to go back to being a snob to the other maids but she was truly happy for Gwen.
• Gwen came into Lilian's room to say her final goodbyes. She didn't seem sad about leaving the Richards Mansion. She hugged Lilian tight.
• "I'm going to miss you, Lily."
