What on earth is this? I want to shout after all the suffering over the previous six months, after being away for over ten years, and after things are finally going right. I feel like I've been pounded in the gut.
As I shake violently, my phone falls to the tile with a dull thud. I'm having trouble breathing. With my heart racing, I take it up, hoping it's cracked, broken, or somehow unfixable to avoid rereading those words. I frown at the screen, but it's not even scratched.
