Chapter 24
- I hear the creaky voice and glance up. Hanna is here, and I smile. She had always shown me a level of affection I hadn't felt since I was a young child. I lumped in my throat the way she hugged and smiled at me the last time I saw her in the newsroom. Like I feel right now when she's grinning at me.
- I go up and hug her, saying, "What are you doing here? I didn't expect to see you."
- "I stopped by to get a book that I'm reviewing for next Sunday's paper."
