Chapter 59
- Sunday passes, and Miki doesn't email or call. When I get home, the sun sets, and the darkness reflects my feelings.
- I spend hours reading my email on my sofa while holding my phone. I don't eat, and I don't take a shower. I fall asleep and dream fitfully, hot and bothered nightmares about cars, roses, and strangers at parties. I look at the ring I took from Miki's house as I wake up. I had placed it on my left hand's ring finger. Imagine how it would have felt to wear it for over ten years.
- I have a glass of water now and then and at least twice experience dry heaves.
