Chapter 31
- It's Miki who wakes me up and not in a positive way.
- It sounds like he's being strangled, as if he wants to scream but is unable to. I sit up in bed gasping, startled out of sleep by the sounds. There's just enough light coming from a half-moon glinting through a window for me to see Miguel. Beside me, he's lying on his back with his eyes tightly closed. His fists are clinched at his sides, and he has kicked off the blankets.
- Oh my god. Does he still get nightmares? Hesitantly, I put my hand to my forehead, wishing he would calm down and return to sleep.
