Chapter 27
- Victoria is enamored with the opulent villa and the Cuban cuisine that I have imported from Miami. Every smile, every squeak, every batted eyelash—all of them are infused with her happiness.
- "Oh my god, it's ground beef," she groans, projecting a seductive air. Every time she does this, my intellect vanishes and I feel as though lust and want, not retaliation and wealth, control.
- It appears that she is not fond of the concept of a thirty-day contract. Yes, it defies all common sense and decency, but so what? It doesn't concern me. I've never had a better night than I do now. I know I'm getting precisely what I want as I watch her eat, play with her silky hair, and touch her bare legs. She stops when I run the back of my finger across her cheek.
