Chapter 9
- Ms. Lilly led me out of the office into the foyer into the huge ballroom. The glass chandeliers hung high across the ceilings as the light reflected its ambiance across the creme walls as paintings of her family history covered them.
- Small cocktail tables were sparely placed across the room by the serving bars. Mulitple bartenders were set up in each corner of the room while tables of exquisite foods such as oysters rockafeller, smoked salmon and other southern delicaices were placed on the large buffet tables inside and out. Also erotic desserts graced the elegant red tables as chocolate strawberries, and other fruit adorned the individual tables.
- Other small tables of white and red tablecloths adorned the the outside patio area as well. The ballroom itself would swallow at least two to three average sized homes. The music flowed from the the small orchestra that played from the top of the balcony, overlooking the dance floor. The real old world charm of New Orleans showed in every level of the room.
- She guided me through the huge room, greeting and introducing me. Lilly wore a long black gown that seemed to show every curve. The gown insinuated her curvaceous hips and her breasts were perky and stood at attention. The plunging back stopped at the top of her behind. For someone that didn't realize she was the Madame, she did not look her age or act like her age. Men were still fawning over her- young and old.
- Every man in the room, made it their business to stop and speak before rejoining their previous conversations. She introduced me to so many people that I could not remember everyone.
- Bob, Jon, Maurice and Joseph, there were so many I looked away. I did recognized a few from my notebook and I actually engaged in conversation with them. I could see Ms. Lilly smiling as the conversations grew.
- "I'm Paul Captiville, you must be Cadence." I turned around and look at the brown hair, blue eye man. He was young and absolutely gorgeous but what scared me the most was a underlined hunger in his eyes. Did he know my secret?
- "Yes, I am, it is a pleasure to meet you Mr. Captiville," I said looking back at him.
- "Lilly has told me a lot about you. Maybe later on you can make some time for me?"
- "Who knows, if I'm not that busy?"
- "I was hoping to be the first of many things." He said stepping up to me and then he whispered, " I promise to make you feel really good." He kissed me on the cheek and walked away. I put my hand to my cheek as I felt my pulse racing.
- "Cadence are you okay? Did Mr. Captiville say anything to offend you?"
- I had to get my breathing under control. "No he was a complete gentleman."
- "I have to warn you. I did advertise to certain men that you were not quite experienced. Since it is your first time I will leave the choice to you.
- There are currently five men that I saw fit that can produce the results and none of them are married. We sell the fantasy and the pleasure of the body and for your first time, I prefer them to be unattached. Later on it is up to you to decide if you want to go the other way, but for now unattached and unattended will be your focus.
- Mr. Captiville is one. He is the CFO of Orion Oil Company in Texas. He is worth his weight in gold. He can be a little pushy but only because of what he does, but in the bedroom, I heard he is amazing. The last woman he was with, has moved on, that is what I mean by unattended. She is now married and living in Puerto Rico."
- I watched him cross the room as he went and got a drink. His tuxedo looked to be Tom Ford custom made as well as the shoes. The fitted white shirt showed no fat but you could tell he was in great shape. I wondered what he looked like without the clothes on.
- "Isn't he delicious? But it's time to move on Cadence," Ms. Lilly said smiling.
- We continued to work the crowd until we saw an older gentlemen to be a little more than fifty. He was still handsome with his salt and pepper hair and tanned complexion. He stood up from the table and walked up to Lilly and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
- "Cadence, this is Sawyer Whitaker. He has been coming to these events from the beginning. Tonight he brought his son, Alexander. A tall younger version of Sawyer came up behind them. His blond, green eyes locked on to mine.
- "Please just call me Alex. Alexander is just so formal," he said reaching for my hand. I gave it to him and he kissed it. The kiss lingered as his lips slowly became eye level to me. I licked my lips because the shiver he gave me almost caused me pain.
- Ms. Lilly cleared her throat. "It is always a pleasure Sawyer, Alex. We have other guests to attend to. Until later gentlemen," she said as we walked off.
- "Alex is stand to inherit over forty-million dollars. They own Whitaker Associates a huge construction company on the east coast. Alex works as the Managing Partner. His dad is said to turn over the reins in the next year or so. He looks to be good marriage material one day.
- I could feel Alex's eyes on me as he whispered something to his father. His dad nodded and they both smiled as I looked back. Alex took his finger and pointed to his eyes as if he was telling me, he was watching me. It seemed a little creepy, but what the hell, it was my choice right? I smiled and continued to walk.
- "Hello Cadence, I'm Evan McCain." I watched as the tall light-skinned black man stood proudly in front of me. I had always been attracted to black men, whether they were light or dark. It was something about the confidence they had.
- "Hello Mr. McCain," I said shaking his hand. He was dropped dead gorgeous wearing a black tuxedo with the necktie. He looked as if he stepped off the cover of GQ magazine. His hair was cut really close to his head and his amber eyes were really the selling point. His eyes seem to almost hypnotize me as he smiled at me.
- "She is beautiful, Lilly." He said never taking his eyes off me.
- "I told you, I never disappoint," she said smiling back at him.
- "Cadence I hope to see more of you tonight? It would be a pleasure."
- I smiled putting my head down. "We will see Mr. McCain," I said looking back up at him. He licked his lips like LL Cool J, making me smile. I love LL Cool J, especially his song, I Need Love. I laughed to myself as we walked off.
- "He owns several record labels in Atlanta, California and New York. He mostly produce rap and r&b, but I hear he is dabbling in a little of pop. Made over seven million dollars last year and he has only been in the business for two years."
- I was impress, but a man like him probably had a woman waiting in every bed he owned, although I wouldn't have to marry him, he just seemed to be fun.
- We continued our journey as I met man after man. I could feel a set of eyes watching my every move. When I looked back I saw Paul looking at me. That same hunger I saw earlier still showed in his eyes. Did he really want me that bad? It was almost scary to see. It felt like he wanted to eat me like a hungry lion. It was erotic and scary at the same time. The question remained, what exactly would he do to me?
