Chapter 23

• "Why did you choose me? Every man was vying for your attention a week ago. Some were richer than me and some were a lot younger than me. Why me, when you could have had any man you wanted?"
• I turned around and looked at him. "I chose you because I felt the most comfortable around you. You were the first to ask me to dance and you were the first that wanted to kiss me in a crowded room, so I wanted you to be the first to really have me in a way that a man should have a woman. You made me feel and I saw something else in your eyes that night."
