Chapter 8

• I walked up the back door. I could see the huge pool and tents set up in the back. More lights lit the back and floating paper lanterns lined the sides of the huge majestic waterfall pool. The top of the trees had more lights lit up by fireflies. It was romantic. I jumped as I heard the door open.
• "Do you plan on standing out here forever. You must be the new girl Cadence?" I looked around to see a tall thin man that was really tanned. His eyes had a devilish flare to them. He was wearing a black tuxedo and shiny black shoes.
• "Yes, that's me."
• "I'm Gabriel, I am the Head Butler. Please come in so you can be accounted for." He opened the door wider as I walked in.
• I couldn't believe my eyes. There were caterers and maids running around as the preparations were coming to a close. I entered a large foyer with the other girls. There had to be at least another thirty to forty girls dressed in beautiful gowns in all colors. They all looked at me. Some turned up their noses, some smiled and others whispered. What I did notice was that I was the only one wearing white. It must have been the virginal thing going on.
• "Don't mind them. I'm Amberly. You must be Cadence." Amberly was a tall blond with flawless skin. She was dressed in a designer pale pink gown that fit every curve. She looked to be no more than twenty-five years old.
• "Yes, that's me."
• "It is a pleasure to met you. Ms. Lilly told me about you. When you are finished with Ms. Lilly, you will follow me around. We will do a meet and greet and I will show you how it's done.
• "Okay," I responded not knowing what in the hell she was talking about.
• Gabriel stood in front of us."When I call your name you will follow Charles into the main dining room.
• "Gabriel began to call the names as the girls lined up and followed Charles.
• "Next group will follow Langston outside." More girls disappeared until only I was left. I was a little confused. Why was I being the one singled out?
• "Cadence you will follow me." I walked out the foyer into the huge entrance way.
• The creme and beige walls were accentuated with old world charm. There were old bayonets and pistols in glass cases and other antiques on the pedestals. Large paintings hung on the wall as backdrops of generals and elegant women were represented from all decades. I stared at the walls as I walked passed them as all their eyes followed me trying to see what devilment I was about to get into. I truly wondered how long it took to clean everything in this room
• "It's beautiful isn't it?" I heard Gabriel's voice.
• "Yes it is."
• "There are nine bedrooms upstairs and another six downstairs. They each have their own private baths. Outside further on the property are another five cabins. They are used for you know." He said smiling In the basement is called the dungeon. A lot of freaky stuff goes on down there." I laughed to myself. I could have swore I saw him shivering.
• "Where are we going Gabriel?" I asked still taken in all the beauty of the huge rooms each decorated with impeccable taste.
• "To Ms. Lilly's office. She wants to speak to you before the party starts."
• "Oh," I said feeling more nervous. Was this really about to happen?
• We passed more maids sprinting up and down the double winding staircases. Some of them smiled while others seemed caught up in their thoughts. We finally made it to a beige door. Gabriel unlocked the door with a key and I walked in.
• To the right was a small fireplace lit smelling of fresh pine. A huge mahogany desk was front and center with a black leather chair behind it. The desk was clear of all papers and the bookshelf behind the desk carried first and second editions of some of the most sort after novels. I was amazed that the room was painted in a dark red. It was more masculine than feminine but every detail from the shelf in the wall that held a bust to the globe on the mahogany stand, everything in the room screamed perfection.
• "Ms. Lilly will be here in a minute. Wait here." I nodded as Gabriel left me in the warm room. I walked around to the bookshelf. She had many classics including Tom Sawyer, Ernest Hemingway to philosophy of Aristotle.
• "They are classics and very hard to come by," I heard Ms. Lilly's voice. I never heard her come in.
• "I read them in the library in high school," I said turning around.
• "You look beautiful Cadence."
• "Thank you. Ms. Lilly, I have to admit, I'm a little nervous."
• "That is to be expected. Come and sit, I would like to talk to you about tonight."
• I walked back around to the front of the desk. The highback chairs were velvet and trimmed in the softess leather I have every felt.
• "I'm not sure you are ready, Cadence."
• My heart started to beat wildly. This was the moment of truth, she was going to fire me and I hadn't even fucked up yet.
• "Ms. Lilly, please, I need this job. Please don't fire me," I said feeling my eyes watering up.
• "I'm not firing you Cadence. Don't be silly. I have something else in mind for you tonight."
• A sign of relief washed over me as I took a deep breath. "I don't understand."
• "You met Amberly. She has been with me for the last seven years. You will follow her around. She is one of my most experienced vanilla girls and I think it would be best if you shadowed her tonight.
• She is to met Mr. Scott. He is a businessman from New York and one of my best customers. He has agreed for you to watch he and Amberly for tonight. Once you have watched them, you will be free to move on with Katie.
• Katie will take you to the dungeon. Since you are still a virgin, I will show you both worlds that we play in. I have other plans for you tonight." She said with a smirk.
• I swallowed hard. Did she actually mean that I was going to watch two people have sex and why did the word 'dungeon' make me sweat when she said it?
• "Okay," I said not knowing what else to say.
• "Follow me, as our guest should be arriving shortly. You are in for the time of your life."
