Chapter 36 " I Hate Being Lied To

• In the office, Sophia settles into her father's chair, while Alex watches her leaning against the door. At every moment, Sophia avoids his gaze; she hates it when Alex has that distant and empty look, as he seems colder than usual.
• "Why am I doing this?" she questions herself, while trying to disguise the fear she feels. Sophia is aware that Alex doesn't love her, and she doesn't love him either. She should have ended this relationship long ago, as she couldn't stand his indifference.
• "He's an idiot, always neglecting me. Why am I here, scared of something I no longer desire?" she ponders, trying to convince herself that she doesn't need to fear him. She is about to end it all when she remembers her father's words. "Damn it, I need to finish this! I need to marry this idiot, for the sake of our businesses," she sighs disheartened.
