Chapter 25 " These Last Few Days Have Been Interesting

• During the drive to the hotel, Alex was lost in thought about what had happened. He felt uneasy knowing that he had made her cry and that her tears were for another man, which left him upset. He lost all the desire he had been feeling that night, as he felt rejected and was not used to that. Rebecca had her head resting against the window, lost in her own thoughts. She hated herself for thinking about Peter. He had hurt her and she didn't want to feel anything for him anymore, only contempt, but it was all still too fresh. Alex got out of the car and opened the door for her.
• "Thank you," she said without looking at him.
• Upon arriving in the room, Rebecca went straight to the bathroom. She stood under the shower for a long time, letting her tears mix with the water running down her body. Alex stood by the window, thinking about how a few words had ruined the night. After a long while, she came out of the bathroom wrapped in just a robe and with a towel on her hair. Alex turned around when he heard the sound of the door.
