Chapter 32 Fool Me Twice, Shame On You

• I still had a lot of hours before dinner. I felt so excited in a way to finally be doing something so important. I rushed, my feet flying over the room to the bathroom, looking for something I could put my flowers in. There was a golden vase just in my closet. I filled it with water and dropped the flowers in. They immediately brightened up the room with my smile untamed as I shook my head and span around, cradling the vase to my chest.
• I walked out of the closet to the room again.
• My eyes fell on the messy bed. I had not cleaned after he left. My hands shook but I did not want to dwell on the king. I had other things going for me, I did not want to let him bring me down.
