Chapter 128 Darker Days

• It was an hour later when the pack arrived, Vex first then other warriors. I had healed the other six men with them unconscious but they would be okay. My head kept shaking, thinking over the last memories I had of Mr Tendril. I thought of what would be said to Rosemary, just like that, she had no one.
• The ten warriors of the pack carried the unconscious men to the pack hospital then came back to all carry Mr Tendril who was so cold there was no way he would come back to us. I had hope, hoping what had happened to Brum would happen to him but he stayed just like that. The silence was taken over by cries, everyone in grief because their hope had been shuttered. It was painful to lose a pack member especially with everything he had went through, especially with the beautiful daughter he left behind.
• The ladies just thought of their own relatives. Seeing how critical it was getting, everyone lost the little hope they had, just praying their mates or sons were alive. I swallowed, better me I knew the king was alive even though seeing him in that state had been weakening.
