Chapter 102 River Pack Part II

• My head tipped to the king, him staring down at me but I could see that he was not staring at me to be precise. He was scaring me as I shifted and sat up in the bed staring at him. He blinked, the certain darkness about him shifting. He opened his mouth only to close it, shaking his head.
• I knew I could probe him on what happened. It was deep I could see, it scared me, it scared me so much I could not take it then.
• He masked his face to the Conri I knew, but a scarier version, then turned and walked away. The door closed behind him and I sat there staring at it while playing the moment over and over again in my head.
