Chapter 77 - Rescued At Last

• Sterling seemed to be pleading with Kamara for forgiveness as he gazed into his mother's eyes. He realized it was a grave mistake as soon as he stepped foot there. Even so, the youngster showed no fear. Seeing the source of his power in his father's eyes, he made the decision to take a chance. He squeezed his eyes shut, thinking of all the awful times he'd experienced there, the pain Noah, Lucas, and Kyler had gone through, and the cold, depressing days he had spent apart from his mother. The leader let out a scream as Sterling, with all the strength he thought he had, bit his arm painfully and fiercely.

They hurried out of there. Kamara had already transformed back into a human when she placed Lucas's lifeless body in the car.
