Chapter 34 - Found Her

• With a quick glance around her, Kamara saw a secret cave in the woods. Even if it was small, she and Louis would feel secure there. She left a trail of blood as she pulled his unconscious body across the woodland.
• After putting Louis in the cave, she went back and hid her footprints. In an effort to conceal the spot, she also gathered dry branches and leaves. She wanted to hide the smell of blood by covering Louis's body with dry leaves.
• The hours passed while Kamara gripped her legs and tried to interpret the sounds of the forest. Enzo was nowhere to be seen. Her heart softened as she saw that Louis was getting better and his wounds were healing. At last, she relaxed next to him and took a nap.
