• Knowing that Nate had disclosed their mission to a stranger did not sit well with Caiden. He was unsure about his ability to trust humans. Caiden needed to put his belief in Nate despite humans' dishonesty and treachery. It was also his only choice at the moment. The man had been of great help.
• Matt's mood soured as Nate said, "We need to talk to Seth. He is aware of the quads' location."
• Matt remarked, "The man only opens his mouth to scream in pain. His spine is broken. The wounds are really severe." Caiden was astonished by the information. "But I'll figure out a method to get you there."
