• In the dark jungle, the wolves howled. Nearly all visibility was obscured by a dense mist within a meter's radius. The only thing that Enzo could see clearly was what the moon was shining through the cracks in the trees. He was directed by the sounds and noises of the forest to avoid the impending peril.
• Following Jessie's capture and humiliation in front of the pack, Enzo was relentlessly pursued. A sizable payment had been offered by Caiden to the hunter who caught his ex-partner's brother. Hunters from all over began looking for the precious fugitive as soon as word got out.
• Enzo was aware that he wouldn't be able to go very far, especially without somebody to protect or assist him in getting away. When he made the decision to flee, abandoning Jessie in pursuit of his irrational retribution, he had sealed his doom.
