• Kamara didn't know there were surprises in the pack, the Mystic Moon pack. She never woke up in the morning without being thankful for the moon goddess' presence. She did not dwell on it too much, though there was a gigantic iron fence, unmatched by any pack, guarded twenty-four hours a day. All she wanted was to treasure the time she spent there.
• She couldn't understand Sterling's conduct; he seemed to have suddenly become friends with Louis, laughing and chatting all the time. Furthermore, she believed that she felt moved to witness Louis getting along so well with the children even though she didn't ask any of them about it.
• Similarly, that morning, she was in the living room when Louis raced down the stairs without meeting her gaze. Without a doubt, he was unaware of her presence there. With a troubled expression, he left through the door and stayed out of sight for most of the day. Kamara thought this was one of Louis's strange behaviors. Although sometimes, Louis would simply disappear and head back home. There was, in fact, an air of mystery about the whole pack. The location was both terrifying and fascinating.
