Chapter 69 - Eavesdropping

• Kamara got up from the room and went upstairs to look for Sterling. Caiden watched her in the meantime, and when he was unable to see her any longer, he fell back onto the couch, appearing even more nervous and agitated than he was a few minutes earlier.
• "Have you given Jessie a call to check on her safety during her trip?" Lisa took a seat next to Caiden and caressed his back with her hands. In the hopes that Lisa would confirm his suspicions about his own wife, he said, "Do you really believe her reasons for leaving the pack? To help Enzo with his wounds?"
• She sighed deeply and continued, "No, I don't believe it. That reminds me, something happened in the pack while you were away that left me very disturbed."
