• Louis had been brought straight to the prison of the Wolf Pack. It was a really safe spot from which one could not leave. He sat on the wet ground, eyes closed, as though his body and mind were separate, chained by his feet in a prison inside a cave.
• That same day, Alpha Stourin declined to speak with him. He needed to take care of unfinished business because the Mystic Moon's hidden position had been found.
• When the guards arrived and hauled him away, the day had not yet broken. He was regarded like a worthless werewolf, and it seemed as though his beta designation had lost all significance.
