Chapter 540
- The night air was cold, almost biting through the hoodie I had on. The flames of the campfire whipped back and forth fighting it off, but the heat was barely enough to stave off the chill. I felt like I was freezing to death and I hated it so much and wanted to run somewhere warm.
- I knew I shouldn’t have let my mom talk me into spending some quality time with my stepdad, not like I hated him, he was nice and has been a great guy to me since he married my mom when I was fifteen, now I was nineteen and a full grown woman and I tried to avoid getting close to him because he keeps making me feel things I shouldn’t be feeling.
- Tom was seven years younger than my mom which put him about sixteen younger than him but the age gap and the fact that he was my mom’s husband didn’t stop me from wanting him and being with him like this even in the middle of an almost storm wasn’t helping at all. I already told my mom earlier when she had told me to go camping with him that she would be responsible for what happens, she may not have gotten what I really meant but I still planned on blaming her. Well right now, nothing looked like it would happen because the damn weather was ruining everything.
