• Giving it to my father in-law and brother in-law
• I had been engaged to Brett for about 9 months, and to make things easier for his family, we had decided to have the wedding in his hometown of Miami. We both had busy schedules, and I had never been to his hometown, nor met his parents before, so this was going to be a big deal for me. We scheduled our trip so we’d arrive about 1 week before the wedding, and planned to stay at his parents’ home while we prepared for the big day.
• I was quite looking forward to this whole itinerary: meeting the parents, finalizing the wedding plans, and hopefully relaxing a little before the big day. I was a little nervous, but excited, to finally meet Brett’s parents, as we drove up the driveway to their house and parked the car.
