She left for work before her sons returned from their afterschool activities, and throughout her shift she felt bad about not being able to get them anything. When she got back home around 2 in the morning, her boys were already fast asleep.
She took a quick shower, washing the hospital smell off her. After stepping out of the shower, she dried her hair with the small towel, used the larger one to dry the rest of her body, then hung them both and looked at her naked reflection in the mirror, studying it.
