Chapter 64 Dismissal

• I stepped into the office, a sense of unease gnawing at me. It was a new day, but yesterday had been anything but ordinary due to my health taking a bad turn.
• However, in regard to all the chaos that had unfolded, I hadn't been able to contact HR and let them know that I wasn’t going to make it to work that day. And so…I had expected there to be some reaction when I reached work…but everyone seemed to be minding their own business, as if I hadn't been missed at all yesterday.
