Chapter 31 Unbroken Resolve

• As I sat across from Erick at the dinner table, I couldn’t help but think back to the night I had with Landon. We, too, had dinner a few nights ago, and I haven’t been able to get it–him out of my head ever since. And sure, the man sitting in front of me undeniably had charm, he was charismatic, and he definitely knew how to make conversation, so technically, I should be having the time of my life right now.
• It’s rare for a woman to get a decent dinner date. Because from what I’ve heard, a lot of things could go wrong. I should be glad that nothing bad has happened so far. In fact, the more we talked, the more I realized how I actually enjoyed his presence. Nevertheless, there was still someone I couldn’t shake–someone who has been at the back of my head all this time.
