Chapter 27 Complicated Emotions

• After I left the hospital, I came into the office well past noon. I was already incredibly late, and I could only imagine what was in store for me when I came up to Landon’s office, but the morning had spiraled into a whirlwind of unexpected events–events that were beyond my control.
• Good things had happened and there was nothing anyone, not even Landon, could have done to make me take back anything I’ve done to be at the hospital at that exact moment in time. Because at the end of the day, my brother was going to be okay, and that thought was enough to weather any storm heading my way.
