Chapter 79

• Nathan left the house for the first time, three days after he found out Sebastian was his real father, ready to put everything that happened behind him and focus on the future. Finding out made him even more determined to be worthy of everything he would get from Sebastian. He still had no intention of calling Gianni or even meeting her because she broke his trust and he was allowed to be mad at her. She didn’t call him again after the first day. Maybe she finally accepted that he wasn’t ready to speak to her. Sebastian on the other hand continued calling him nonstop. The past three days were spent doing absolutely nothing. He didn’t take Sebastian’s call but he sent him a text that he would see him when he was ready. After that, the old man didn’t call him again. The only other person he spoke with aside from his sisters for the three days was his contractor who was handling the hotel matters. They were making a lot of progress that Nathan was proud of. By their pace, the hotel will be up and running in a couple of months.
• Even though Nathan now knew his place in the Ulmer’s household was pretty much solidified and that Sebastian couldn’t throw him away, he still wanted to do things for himself that he would be proud of. Ulmer’s holding might already be a multi-billion dollar company and he might get everything, but he didn’t want to just stop doing his own thing. He wanted to make a name for himself in the business world and the way to do that was to put in his own work and that’s exactly what he wanted to do.
• Nathan arrived at the office and first decided to get coffee at the café in the office complex. He walked into the elevator with coffee in hand ready to finish the work he had left behind during his break. He didn’t think about his superiors or if they would be mad at him since he didn’t put a notice out before he left the office. He made up his mind to take whatever they told him and just apologize.
