Chapter 73 Human Nature
- Looking at the beeping sound on his phone, Enrique Walters became uncertain, muttering to himself, "Could she be telling the truth?"
- Enrique Walters hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and drove Winona Schmidt's car towards Madeline Vale's house. Even if Madeline Vale was really lying to him, he would rather be fooled again. If this was true and Madeline Vale was really hurt, he would never forgive himself for the rest of his life.
- Enrique Walters drove directly to the underground parking lot of Madeline Vale's apartment building, then took the elevator to her floor. He had just stepped out of the elevator and hadn't reached Madeline Vale's door when he saw a middle-aged man hurriedly walking out. The man kept sneaking glances at Enrique Walters as he passed by. Enrique Walters noticed that the man didn't go into the elevator, but instead headed towards the stairwell of the fire escape. Enrique Walters frowned, believing most of what Madeline Vale had said. He slowly walked towards Madeline Vale's door, thinking about how to solve this problem. He thought for a moment, then walked to the door of the apartment next to Madeline Vale's. He secretly took out his phone, checked the camera mode, pretended to be texting but was actually using the camera to look behind him. Through his phone, he saw the man peeking out from behind the door of the stairwell, watching him. Enrique Walters gave a cold smile, this was exactly what he had expected.
