Chapter 18 Running Around Town, Searching For My Exwife

  • POV: Nathan
  • "Now I’m only going to ask you once, Where the fuck is your friend, where is Laura?” I roared at her friend. I was closing the gap between us, moving to strangle the words out of her but when I turned to look at her again, I saw a fury that was greater than mine. With her red-rimmed eyes, she glared at me with murderous anger and I stilled at the sight of her. She looked deep into my eyes, her tears sliding down her cheeks as she spoke to me with a thick voice that was filled with anger, sounding so hurt and sad. I dove to her house in anger and I accused her of pimping my wife to her friends. I called her a whore and a bitch and I threatened her to tell me why Laura blocked my number because I’m so fucking pissed at everyone right now.
  • "I never lied to anyone Nate, I don’t know what is wrong with you and Laura, I don’t even know why you go about flirting with your ex-wife, but I'll not let you treat me like crap. You come into my house, accuse me wrongly and treat me like a fucking criminal when all I've ever done is look out for your ex-wife like a true friend. I'll never do anything to hurt her because she's like a sister to me. I've been looking out for her even before you came into the picture, so you have no right to stand there and accuse me falsely." She scolded me angrily. Her words were filled with anger and I found it hard to refute it because every damn word she said sounded so sincere and honest.
