Chapter 38 Xxxvii - Sophie

• Everything was perfect, I couldn't even remember the last time I had been so happy. Patrick and I were growing closer and happier every day, and I loved the care he showed for our unborn children, already showing them how loved they were.
• I had been anxious all month about this ball, and everyone in the house had tried to help me overcome my fear. Audrey helped me with how to behave, some etiquette rules, and even John gave me advice on how to handle journalists and photographers.
• But when we stopped in front of that crazy crowd of people, pushing and shoving to get the best photo, I trembled with fear. Part of me was insecure, but what gave me strength to keep smiling was Patrick's hands, which never stopped touching me.
