Chapter 24 Xxiii - Sophie

• I woke up with the sun streaming through the window and hitting my eyes. The image of the beach in the distance filled my eyes while the smell of the sea filled the air.
• I turned to the side and didn't see any sign of Patrick, only the crumpled sheets. The warmth of the sun told me that it was no longer early and he was probably taking advantage of my sleep to do some work.
• Three weeks with him in that paradise was wonderful, but I knew Patrick needed to go back to work properly. He might deny it, but I doubted he was so relaxed being away from work like that.
