Chapter 10 Ix - Sophie

• I opened my eyes to darkness, everything was pitch black, but now I felt something soft beneath me instead of a hard, cold trunk. My muscles were sore, I felt as if I had been run over or run a marathon, my whole body ached and it was a struggle until I could move a hand and touch the sheets.
• But then I realized there was a hand on mine, I tried to adjust my eyes to see in that darkness, but I couldn't see anything.
• I couldn't remember what had happened, how I managed to escape from that freezing forest. The last thing I remembered was being very cold and dark, I couldn't see much in front of me but I kept walking until I couldn't bear the cold and hunger anymore, so I sat down and waited for the worst.
