Chapter 65
- Months had passed ever since Noah, and I made it ‘official’. And to be honest, it wasn’t quite bad. In a way, I had gotten used to it. Noah was lovely, too lovely and I truly didn’t deserve him.
- His home had become mine; an allegiance had formed between his family and me. It had become a daily occurrence for us to visit Tammy and the gang, at least twice a month. Just never thought I would look forward to those trips as much as I did, well except the drinking parties that took place after the kids went to sleep, I had vowed to myself to steer clear from those!
- I had come to terms with the fact that sometimes, life was not always a smooth road. What we wished to have may not always come through. This was settled when I noticed that the house was wiped clean of Hayden’s presence. His belongings, his presence all gone without a single word. Monica too, was nowhere to be seen. Looks like he had finally gotten over me. Huh! I laughed at that memory, the pain that I had felt in my chest the moment that I realised that what I had amicably wished for to not happen, was indeed happening. The man that I loved, that was my first love, was no longer mine, and instead, was getting cuffed to another woman.
