Chapter 56
- The plan was simple. I would stay with Noah for a few days while I looked for a place of my own and I would send whatever money I had left back to Hayden while I thought of ways on how to pay the reminder. There had to be some sort of leniency, as he maybe was tired of me? That was what I thought even though it tore my heart.
- But so far, I had done nothing. It had now been over three weeks and I still hadn’t done any of those things I had promised. I felt pathetic and I hated it. He still hadn’t called me. Had he not noticed that I was gone?
- ‘Get over yourself! He has already proven that he no longer cares about you.’ That voice made its way back to remind me. Yes, it was right! I really needed to stop mopping and get on with my life, like right now. Noah had managed to set me up with an interview at this high-end bar that he apparently knew a friend of the owner? And I did not want to screw up such opportunity with my mopping and longing.
