Chapter 40

My entire body burnt and itched, like as if I had been sliced by a dozen knives, which should have felt familiar, but this was a different kind of feeling. The room was brightly lit, thanks to the penetrating sun rays, so bright my eyesight was almost blinded. In addition, the room looked so foreign even though it shared the same dark colour palate with my apartment.

I retracted from the blankets pulling up my sore body to pick up the discarded shirt on the dark wood floor, but my whole body was pulled down by the weight on my shoulders. More specifically my right shoulder.
