Chapter 33
- A week had passed since the last time I had encountered Hayden. My work in the office had also been cut short and no, I hadn’t lost my job or anything. It was just that Hayden had left for Italy for a business trip, and with that, my work had fall short. I was yet to tell him what had happened inside that old man’s office. Even though that creep had given me only two days to give him an answer. I had still managed to evade him and attend my classes normally, with no threats whatsoever of being cut off. Maybe he was just bluffing, and I should not take it that seriously.
- Trying to be positive and not let anxiety take over me, I decided to utilize this time to decorate and furnish my house and If I do say so myself, the house was coming out immaculate. I had managed to find some art pieces that pulled the entire house together and gave it a homy vibe. They matched well with the leather couches I managed to find at a discounted price. Lily would always gush and scream about how cute my house was the moment I showed her my home, on picture or video calls. I could not wait for the day she would visit.
- Also, a guilty pleasure of mine, which never failed to bring me joy. The moment I set my eyes on them I just knew I had to get them. My giant white Hello Kitty plushie and its counterpart a medium sized cinnamon roll plushie. They were already nicely seated on my bed frame, adding a touch of cuteness to my rather dull bedroom which desperately needed to be repainted pink. I was so going to live my barbie and coquette dream in my new house, and no one would stop me, not even Hayden, I think? Maybe someday, I would be able to proudly call myself a plant mom too.
