Chapter 69 Echos Of The Past
- Derek's Pov:
- I looked out the window of my room, getting a clear view of the city. I'd always loved the view, the blue sky and the moving white clouds above the skyscrapers. The cup of hot tea in my hand, I brought to my lips, taking a sip, slightly nodding my head at the satisfying taste. I turned from the window, my eyes found a picture I'd long taken with him to bring back memories.
- I shuffled closer as I stared at it. A picture I could never let slip from my hands, a picture I woke up every day to stare at. Was it weird that I ever loved a person who stabbed me in the back twice and still continued to love this person? I stared so long at the picture of me and her sitting by the fountain. I couldn't ever trust a femme fatale anymore. Their work was to seduce, attract and then destroy. Was it also weird that I found myself attracted to someone that looked exactly like her? Elena. The innocence that she carried was on her face, but her attitude went way beyond that. I wanted her. But there was one thing that I was unsure of, and that was if she was a femme fatale. She behaved like one, but her body language didn't give that out.
