• ELENA'S POV:
• After a long day, she finally found solace on the couch. She was so tired from having to stand for hours while pregnant. She wasn't taking care of herself enough. Then she heard footsteps. She knew it was Lamas of course. She was still pissed with the way he dismissed the issue she was trying to discuss with him the other time. She heard a sigh, as she pretended to sleep. She didn't even want to speak to him this evening.
• "Augusta." She heard him call. His voice trailed off before she felt a hand stroking her hair. It was almost too difficult for her to keep pretending she was sleeping because she was worried. What exactly was on his mind? Why was he suddenly acting this way? Then he lifted her from the couch and strutted into...the scent that filled this room made her know it wasn't hers. It smelled more like him. Did he bring her to his room? She was placed on a soft mattress where she squirmed comfortably. And when she felt he was about to leave, she grasped his hand. He turned and looked at her.
