Chapter 22 Vernandi's Attempt

• ELENA'S POV;
• The mafias had a gathering to do. He wanted me to come for it and had hired many female workers because of me. He sent one of them to get me a gown. Of course, we were going to meet at a masquerade ball. I wore the black lace gown and silver heels. The female worker helped me with my hair, letting it loose before curling it. Then my makeup... I noticed this female worker didn't ask for the colour of lipstick I wanted. She just went ahead to put a dark shade of red then she smiled.
• "Perfect. So many eyes will be on you." She said giddily and I smiled at her enthusiasm.
