Chapter 110 Two Months

• Augusta's POV;
• She gripped the sheets in anger as she heard the sound of their groans and screams. It was pretty obvious what they were doing and she couldn't take it anymore. After all these years that she'd thought that this man was with her, she couldn't believe that she had taken him for granted and used him as his mistress for so many years. It wounded her to think of this, but if she didn't, for how long would she be allowing Derek to keep reopening her wounds? She stood by his side every time he needed her. She was always attentive to him even when he didn't speak. She understood his silence. Nobody could love him more than she did. And yet he chose another woman over him. She remembered the time they'd first met. He'd used her that day, and she hated him for it. But she noticed things in him she never did before. She was going to have him til Elena came along.
• Sometimes she felt it was totally because he was trying to compete with his brother for her and that's the reason he went after her in the first place. She thought it wasn't like he really loved her but now, she was starting to second guess that. She sighed. Was it a crime to forgive the man who took everything away from her? She was a slave when he found her, but it was his fault that her family was killed only for her to be kidnapped and used by him. It wounded her more than anything that the man she'd grown fond of, grew fond of another.
