• For the past few months, she has been working in my company. She was one of my most talented employees. Ever since she walked into the company, things had gotten so much better. I hesitated to knock on her door this morning, but I brought her some food to eat. I'd never done that before for anyone. It was messing with my mind. When she didn't open, I walked in without her permission. I dropped the tray of food next to her. From the way she positioned herself, I knew she was awake. Augusta never slept this way, she only did when she was awake from nightmares. I couldn't help but feel I was the cause of it. She just didn't want to speak to me. She was giving me the silent treatment. And as much as I wanted to give her space, this treatment was killing me. She was still a little bit shaken. And I never thought I'd be saying this in a thousand years.
