Chapter 95
- Jace
- I paced around my room, the weight of conflicting emotions pressing on me. Hunter’s words echoed in my mind, urging me to confront Aurora in the dungeon. I still loved her, but the pain of her betrayal gnawed at me. Taking a deep breath, I readied myself and headed downstairs. I pushed open the heavy door to the dungeon, the air heavy with the scent of dampness and despair.
- The dungeon was a dim place, and I was surrounded with cold stone walls. I found Aurora sitting alone in a corner, her eyes downcast. Seeing her in that dim, terrible cell, my I pitied her. I hated to witness her suffering, her strikingly beautiful features locked behind iron bars. I stood on the other side, our gazes locking through the cold iron.
