• The room was filled in pre-dawn darkness as I sat on the edge of my bed, still wrestling with the thoughts of a strange and unsettling dream. Before the sun could even cast its first rays, I found myself lost in thoughts of Aurora. Last night, we had confirmed a connection that seemed beyond the ordinary, sealed with a kiss as I walked her to her room.
• But the dream remained like an unwelcomed guest. Visions of Aurora, her eyes covered in darkness, whispered doubts into my mind.
