• Returning to the Blackthorne pack was a mix of relief and unease. We’d secured the parley with Lucia, and now the truce was in motion. I promised to relinquish the mantle of leadership of my pack and ancestral home in one week, in exchange for the release of Amelia. We had done it, and it was all a lie, but the weight of the week ahead pressed upon me heavily.
